Hi Ella, Wishing you the best of luck... I've just found your blog! I went earlier each time with all three of mine (last baby was around 3 weeks early) so you're wise to have your bag packed well in advance :)

Hope all goes well and you look after yourself after baby is born.

Sarah - I hadn't heard that but I have been very thirsty with the GD so maybe it's all related.

Anyway, I'm still here and no sign of labor so I don't think there will be a baby anytime soon...

Could it be dehydration? I heard there's a correlation between contractions in the third trimester and contractions.

Oh, hang in there...you're in the home stretch!! You know, it's almost all a blur now (my baby is WALKING for goodness sake!) but I remember having contractions galore the last few weeks. My husband kept thinking, "any day now", but I went on for weeks like that. In fact I had a few mornings when I almost woke him up thinking I was in labor, only to have the contractions go away...then come back, then go away. It's very frustrating, I know. You know what is so great about the first few weeks? The baby sleeps ALL the time. Sure, they eat, but they sleep sooo much, too. You will get some sleep, don't worry. And when the nanny/maid/personal assistant is done at your house, send her by mine, please!
