It's been a while since I've checked in with ANYONE, so I was surprised to see what's going on with your life these days. I hope the biopsy went well.

My goodness! Another baby! You are a braver woman than I. And infinitely more creative -- I know you will figure out how to keep the boys entertained through this.

And, selfishly -- I'm glad that the one BlogHer I missed was NOT the one you attended. I would have been very sad to have missed meeting you.

Jody at Raising WEG once posted on ways she entertained three little ones when she was too tried to move. The one that sticks in my mind is blowing bubbles in front of a fan. The kids chase the bubbles, you lie and relax.

I hope you feel a little tiny bit better, and that the biopsy goes smoothly.

Sound like a tough time ahead.
I have some play activities- horizontal types :) on my site.
A favourite one is using post it notes. Write the alphabet on 26 pieces. Go through them with your kids. Add a picture- badly drawn if you're me- if they need it. Get them or you can together post the around the house at their level ( plants, walls, doors- not the dog we tried that not good!, TV screen, chair cupboards, posters, up the stairs, in the bath- find fun places but obvious)
We used an alphabet book or another set of alphabet letters. Choose one and send them off to go find and bring it back. They run around trying to find the right one. ( wear themselves out) They bring and show to you. if the wrong one. Send off again. Arrange them in order to make sure you get all 26. Variations are endless. Great activity to do if you need to be in one place.

I wish so much I could help you out right now...though I'd have to bring along my own three so the chaos wouldn't do much to make you feel any better! The boys would all be Kung Fu fighting, my daughter, screaming at a frequency that mostly only dogs can hear, and the baby, well, she'd be fine as long as she wasn't hungry, tired or bored. And neither of us would be able to drink. *sigh*

Sorry about the nausea, but it is a good sign that your body is working to protect that little baby, so I just hope that you feel better soon. I am praying your appointment goes well. Take care...

Been there. Except with only one child. It's hard. Really hard. So hang in there, Ella. You can do it. And just remember, anything they can do without your help, they can do while you lie there on the couch.

Build a fort. Race matchbox cars. Color (but not paint). Read books to each other.

Or what about filling a baby pool up out back and letting them play while you just lie there on a towel and watch? I'm getting really good at that. :-)

And the biopsy -- you'll be fine. Bring someone to hold your hand and talk to you during the procedure if you can, but if you can't, just talk to the nurse. They help lots of women through this, and they'll help you.

I wish I could be there with you. But I'll be thinking of you and praying for you tonight and tomorrow. Hang in there, friend.
