    Ouch

    By ella | March 2, 2006

Shall I post the birth story? You may decide it’s best I don’t when I tell you that I reviewed my maternity notes a few hours after Ben was born and I saw the words “patient suffered second degree tear in the clitoral hood”.

    Not good. Really not good.

I do hope it’ll soon be in working condition. I had a 2nd degree perineal tear, and sitting down (or standing up) was really uncomfortable for about two weeks.

I had a clitoral graze which freaked me out. A teat sounds awful. And yes, I’d like to hear the birth story.

Oh, Ella!!!!! Ouchie. Major ouchie!! But I’m impressed!! Women are amazing, aren’t we? Do you think a man could withstand a tear in their (insert male equivalent of clitoral hood)?? I THINK NOT!!!! We’ll do anything for our men, though, won’t we?? :)
Post it. I can take it!!!

Gosh, I so empathize. About 15 minutes into the stitching me up I asked the attending if things were really bad or if the resident was just a really slow sewer.

I was fortunate to get just a small tear - but when she was coming out - I could have sworn I was ripping in half.
