Mmmm… who knew the secret service could be so exciting
By ella | September 18, 2005
I’ve always loved the series Spooks. It’s a great programme about the British Intelligence Service - which for some odd reason my family think I am a member of, which of course is true because I can so easily combine staying at home with two children under four and be pregnant AND run around catching baddies and saving the country from being blown up by madmen - and is one of the few things on television at the moment that is worth watching.
But this series is SO GOOD. I could pretend it was because of the timely storylines - bombs in London, for instance - or the quality acting. But mostly it is because of Rupert Penry-Jones who plays MI5 agent Adam Carter:
Yup, I’ll be watching every week. I may even be videoing it as well and watching the repeats. I mean, isn’t that why freeze-frame was invented?
