    Talking About Motherhood

So the children weren’t being badly behaved

    By ella | August 4, 2005

After complaining firstly about my two year old and then my three year old, we all fell ill, me mostly, with a nasty stomach bug. I threw up nine times in twelve hours, fortunately mostly over Tuesday night so I was able to lie groaning in between being sick trying to rest without having to run around after two fighting, bored, hungry toddlers. However Wednesday morning wasn’t much fun as I was still sick and extremely tired having slept for approximately 23 minutes overnight so, with Matthew away, I called in reinforcements (thank you Mum) and was able to lie there recovering in peace. The blood vessels around my eyes have burst but today I am feeling much better. And despite being so sick it was still a more enjoyable experience than my recent weeks of pregnancy sickness simply because I knew it wouldn’t last.

Matthew has arrived home this evening complaining he feels sick so methinks I may be on nurse duty tonight. Still, at least I have already had it and therefore don’t have to sit there thinking “oh goodie, me next”.

So I take it all back about my children. They were coming down with a bug. They weren’t badly behaved. So I’m sure from tomorrow they will be back to their angelic selves. At least that’s what I’m hoping.
