Live8
By ella | July 5, 2005
Live8 was a blast. There were plenty of interesting acts: Sting (swoon), Robbie Williams, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Coldplay and Keane were great, Madonna who was outstanding and Robbie Williams, who definitely entertained.
Disappointing were Joss Stone (can’t stand her music anyway), UB40 (not quite sure why they were included on the bill in the first place) Snoop Dogg (he couldn’t stop saying m*therf*cker and I was praying my children didn’t hear) and Pink Floyd (all I can say about them is Why?)
Three days on and I am curious to see what impact Live8 will have had on the G8 summit which starts tomorrow.
On my mind:
will London be awarded the 2012 Olympics tomorrow?
the programme on slaughterhouses I watched last night.
how much I love my children and how well behaved they are with me when someone else is looking after them the majority of the time (if that isn’t a case for full-time daycare for them, I don’t know what is).
