Fourteen weeks pregnant. It’s like having a holiday! But without the sun, good food, alcohol or fun
By ella | June 29, 2005
I am fourteen weeks pregnant. I am still throwing up. So this week I am on bed rest to try and keep some food down so that I don’t feel so utterly crappy (and don’t end up in hospital). I thought it would feel like a mini-holiday, someone else running around after the children while I lounged around in bed, but the reality is that I lie in bed thinking that I should be writing a novel or doing something really useful with my time instead of wondering how long it will be until I throw up again or thinking that if I don’t roll over and turn off that bloody Jerry Springer show I will be throwing up NOW.
On the upside I have never watched so much news as I have in the last couple of days. I am well-informed! Ask me anything! Just don’t ask me what remedies there are for morning sickness as I haven’t found a single thing that really works. Perhaps I’ll ask the BBC reporters to do a story on that.
