Bump Talk: nine weeks pregnant
By ella | June 2, 2005
I’m still very sick but I’m hoping that it will only last two more weeks or so. That is all that is keeping me going at the moment. The only thing I can eat at the moment is tomato soup and carbonnara sauce with pasta. I will probably never eat either of these things again once this sickness has passed.
Today I have my booking in appointment with the midwife. This is my first appointment with her where she takes a detailed medical history and discusses early scans and tests. Other mothers here have told me that she is a bit of a drip. I like a midwife that tells it like it is so I’m not sure that we will get on. However the community midwife is very rarely present at the birth so I’m sure I can get through a few appointments with her. I am curious to know what she will say about me being able to have a normal delivery if this baby is around ten or eleven pounds after having a C-section last time and given that I have an abdominal hernia from my last pregnancy.
