Saturday night fever (and Sunday, and Monday, and….)
By ella | December 7, 2004
My children have had a fever now for three days, they have been sick for five days and I haven’t had any sleep for five nights. Both are snotting and dribbling everywhere. And I mean everywhere: I’m changing their shirts every two hours, it’s all over the sofas, the floors, the television screen (eh?), me and even the poor dogs. They have a clean face-wipe cloth (each - to prevent cross-infection, like that really matters now) but it just feels like I’m circulating the germs round the house. There’s either whining (both), crying (both), shouting (me) or screaming everytime I give medicine (Littley).
Ode to a Stranger no longer comes even close to encompassing my feelings.
Rant over, feel strangely better.
